So, over the years my boys (7 year old twins and a 5 year old) have taken an interest in what I do in the kitchen. They love to help me cook, and I love to let them if the recipe is easy enough. So, we decided to make a cookbook for all their favorite meals so they can have it when they grow up. It's simple and cheap, and they will love helping you make it and choosing which recipes they want to have in it!
Here's what you need:
- Empty Folder OR Binder
- Recipe Cards OR Index Cards
- Glue OR tape
- Construction Paper
- Colored Pencils
We reused a sheet folder for our cookbook. I started by writing them a personal message for when they get older and I used that as the front page of the cookbook. We then decorated the front of the folder, we choose to put our names, and I had the boys put some stickers on it. We glued our recipe cards to the construction paper, then used old magazines to decorate the sides of the paper. We had a blast doing this, and it was simple and cheap!
(I apologize for the low quality photos, but the camera on my phone is not very good, and I also apologize for some of the pictures being sideways, I will try to fix that!)
